At the 66th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 4, 2024, Annie Lennox performed a moving and impassioned tribute to the late Sinead O’Connor. Joined by Wendy & Lisa on guitar and piano, Lennox sang “Nothing Compares 2 U” during the In Memoriam segment honoring artists who left the world during the past year. At the end of the song, Annie raised her fist high and stated “Artists for Ceasefire! Peace In The World!”, referencing the war in Gaza, one of the only artists to speak out on the subject that evening. Watch Annie’s full performance below.
